Hello and welcome to my blog, my name is Finn and in this post I will be giving an introduction about who I am and some details about my life and what I am interested in. Afterwards I will discuss my interests in creative digital media and what I will be looking forward to learning in the future.
So to start of about myself I live in Duleek which is a village in county Meath. I am in a family of six with two younger brothers and a twin sister. I enjoy hanging out with my friends that live in my estate. I enjoy being around animals which is why I have a pet dog called Pip and I also own a bearded dragon called Spike. I enjoy being in the outdoors because I was in the scouts for five years which has given me good life skills. Currently I work part time at an open farm where I care for animals and help customers. When I am not busy I enjoy learning about history. The parts of history that I am most interested in are World war 1, World war 2, Rome and the Napoleonic wars. Other hobbies that I enjoy are playing videogames and cycling. I also enjoy learning about other countries including their cultures, history and geopolitics.
Now I will discuss why I decided why I wanted to do creative digital media. The reason why I first considered doing creative digital media is because after I finished my leaving cert I decided that I would do a one year course in multimedia with photography in Drogheda Institute of Further Education. During this course we learned how to use Adobe creative cloud software's such as photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator and Animate. I also learned about photography in detail about shutter speed, F stop, aperture, ISO and the various techniques. After I competed this course I decided that I wanted to pursue a course that was similar because I enjoyed it.
What I look forward to most about this course is learning web development. the reason why I look forward to this the most is because it is something that is completely new to me. I am interested in learning how to code a website using various programmes and also customising it the way I want it to look. What I also look forward to doing is video editing as it is something that was not covered in my level five course.
